Hello and thank you for visiting my website! I am Sascha Rodriguez and I am the owner and creator of Seed of Faith by Sascha. I am happily married to the love of my life and best friend and I am the mother of two beautiful daughters. My husband is a “cradle Catholic”, but I was raised a Protestant Christian by my loving parents, who have been married for nearly forty years. I began my spiritual journey in the Catholic faith in mid 2023, shortly after my husband and I were asked to be the Godparents to our newborn nephew. I started taking OCIA classes as soon as I could to become a Catholic and be able to be my sweet nephew’s “Nina” (Padrina, Spanish for Godmother). Little did I know that God had a much bigger plan. I was familiar with the Bible, but the more knowledge I acquired about Catholicism, The Trinity, and got more in depth into Jesus’s sacrifice, the pull to be closer to God strengthened in my heart and took over. I was no longer attending OCIA classes and mass to become a Godparent. I was willingly attending mass and reading every material I could to learn more about the Catholic faith with a thirst for knowledge and an overwhelming love for Jesus that I have never known. I have decided to live my life for God and I am proud to share that as of March 2024 I was confirmed as a Catholic. Now, a little history about how I came to my love of making rosaries. About twelve years ago, the fine jewelry store where I was employed was in need of someone to string pearls. I quickly learned the classic knotting technique for fine strands of pearls and became the designated pearl stringer at the jewelry store. Fast forward to the fall of 2023 and, after it had been years since I had strung a strand of pearls, I found some silver plated rose beads and an Our Lady of Guadalupe piece. I have always loved the beauty of rosaries and I suddenly had the idea to apply the knotting technique I had learned years earlier to making a rosary. I had never prayed the Rosary before and was still new to all things Catholic, so I did a bit of research to learn about rosaries. I hand knotted my first rosary with the beads I had found and used a Jerusalem cross I had received from a relative and gifted the first rosary I made to my youngest daughter. My creativity had begun to flow and the next thing I knew I was making rosaries every night while sitting with my family. I gifted many of my handmade rosaries and soon I was receiving requests to make them for purchase. That is when Seed of Faith by Sascha was born and I began selling my handmade rosaries.
All of my rosaries are handcrafted with love and meticulous care, double-threaded, and double-knotted between each Hail Mary and Our Father beads. I price my rosaries by the materials used and a small percentage is added for the time it takes me to make them, which is about an hour and a half to two hours for each rosary. I happily donate 10% of the profits I make from my rosary sales to my beloved parish. Thank you for your interest in my products. I hope you enjoy my website. May peace be with you.
With much love, Sascha
